New To Daycare? Help Your Dog Succeed!

Doggy daycare can be a great option for pet parents who want their furry friends to socialize, exercise, and receive the care and attention they deserve while they're away. However, in order for your dog to thrive in a daycare environment, it's important to set them up for success. Here are some tips to ensure that your dog has a positive experience at doggy daycare.

  1. Start slow: If your dog is new to daycare, it's important to ease them into the experience. Start with a half-day (check out our siesta option!) or a few hours, and gradually increase the amount of time they spend at daycare as they become more comfortable.

  2. Prepare your dog: Before dropping your dog off at daycare, make sure they're well-exercised and have had plenty of opportunities to go to the bathroom. This will help prevent indoor accidents and ensure that your dog is relaxed and ready for a day of play.

  3. Provide clear instructions: Let the staff know of any special instructions or preferences your dog may have, such as dietary restrictions, play preferences or behavioral notes. This will help ensure that your dog receives personalized care and attention.

  4. Follow the rules: Make sure to follow ADC's rules and regulations, such as our vaccination requirements, pick-up and drop-off times, and behavior expectations. This will help ensure that your dog and the other dogs at daycare have a safe and enjoyable experience.

  5. Stay in communication: Keep in communication with the our staff to stay informed of your dog's progress and any updates or concerns. This will help you feel more connected to your dog and ensure that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.

  6. Give your dog time to rest: After a day of play, your dog will likely be tired and may need some time to rest and recuperate. Make sure to provide a quiet, comfortable space for your dog to relax and recharge.

By following these tips, you can help set your dog up for success at All Dogs Club. Remember, every dog is unique, and it may take some time for your furry friend to adjust to a new environment. With patience, preparation, and communication, you can ensure that your dog has a safe and enjoyable experience with us!
